The Black Achievers Wings Award marked a major milestone this year as it proudly celebrated its 30th Year Anniversary on 17 February 2024. The highly anticipated event brought together community leaders, local talents, and distinguished guests for a night of recognition, empowerment, and unforgettable entertainment.
This year’s celebration stood out not only for its legacy but also for the electric atmosphere created by outstanding local performers. The crowd was thrilled by Bupsi Brown, whose energetic and soulful impersonation of Tina Turner set the tone for a vibrant evening. Adding to the excitement was Khaleil Fell, the talented dancer who captured the audience with his performance fresh off his victory as the 2023 Dance Master UK Champion.
At the heart of the night was the awards ceremony itself, honouring exceptional individuals across a range of categories. The Black Achievers Wings Award has always been dedicated to amplifying the achievements of Black professionals, creators, community builders and emerging talents—and this year’s event continued that powerful tradition. Each award recipient was celebrated not only for their accomplishments but also for their dedication, resilience, and contributions to their communities.
As the organisation reflects on three decades of impact, the 30th Anniversary event served as a reminder of how far the community has come—and how much promise the future holds. The celebration was a testament to unity, pride, and the ongoing mission to uplift and highlight excellence of black and diverse communities.
Here’s to 30 years of achievement—and many more to come.
